So, we have been given our A2 Project! My group (myself, Leone Tracey & Tana Haye) and I are extremely excited about creating a music video, we think it will be a very good learning experience for us. After talks with each other about what we wanted to do we started to do some research in what songs we could use. We discussed genres, and artists of that genre. We then began to narrow it down to genres of music we actually liked as we thought it best to stick to something we liked because of fans of that genre, we know what sort of look and feel is expected.
We are looking for a song that:
- would be easy to lip sync to
- is easy to develop a storyline to
- wont need an extravagant video
- is modern but fairly old so we are not tempted to copy the original video
- doesn't already have a video that is iconic, such as "Thriller" by Michael Jackson for example.
As instructed through the brief we have chosen 2 out of the 3 options to complete our promotional package. We have chosen a magazine advert and front cover. This is because we feel this will be easier to do individually yet still keep a consistent look to.
